About William R. Meyer

Mr. Meyer has an extensive background in business law and litigation, including real estate, family law, securities, and selected tax matters.  As a lawyer in Washington, D.C. in 1978-83, he spent part of his time working on federal legislation on behalf of private clients.    

While most of his career has been spent with private law firms (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and now Portland), he also has served in the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C., (Executive Office of the President, Special Action Office for Drug Abuse Prevention, 1972-73; Price Commission, 1973; and the President's Commission on Personnel Interchange, 1972).  In the area of public affairs, he worked on the Ralph Nader Congress Project (1972), where he co-authored two monographs on members of Congress.

Mr. Meyer has been a member of the Southeast Portland Rotary Club since 1989, where he served as club president in 1993-1994.
